Dubai remains one of the most preferred destinations for investors. The latest official figures from Dubai Investment Authority shows that a total of Dh46.6 billion in FDI entered Dubai in the first half of 2019.
In the first half of 2019, Dubai attracted 257 FDI projects with 61% of total projects being greenfield, 27% new forms of investment, 6% reinvestments, 5% made via mergers and acquisitions, and the remaining 1% through new joint ventures.
The top source countries for foreign direct investment are the US, China, the UK, France, and Singapore according to the Dubai FDI Monitor. These five countries together accounted 83% of total FDI capital flows into Dubai in the first half of 2019.
